Blog   Easy ways to nab a fish in the Shire

Catching a fishAnyone who lives in the Shire will know how lucky we are to have the quality of beaches and waterways that we can take out family and friends to have a fish out of a boat or off the shore. That’s why we call the Shire “God’s Country”.

I have lived in the Shire for just on 36 years and over that time I have caught 45 different species of fish. Some of which are bream and flathead in the estuaries, snapper and morwong offshore, whiting and tailor off the beaches and drummer and luderick off the rocks.

Fishing Charters

Southern Sydney Fishing Tours

boat

Scotty Lyons runs Southern Sydney Fishing Tours in Botany Bay, the Port Hacking River and offshore from Coogee in the north to Stanwell Park in the south. Whether you have a group of friends or just want to join in with other fishing anglers, Scotty has it all covered.

Depending on the time of the year you can fish for flathead, bream, whiting, Australian salmon, tailor, bonito, snapper, morwong, silver trevally and kingfish. You never know what you may catch when fishing with Scotty. Maybe you too will catch over 45 different fish species.

If you are after someone who won’t stop trying to get you onto that fish of a lifetime, then Scott’s your man.
